again don't think it matters if v2 or v3.
I've noticed that rendering a region can sometimes be quite fast and noise free.
So actually rendering an image in parts is faster.
Am I onto something ?

I don't know, without seeing some logical tests and renders. I'm just wondering if you'll finally switch to V3 once we have V4 out, after this much hesitation and ooo aaa maybe......mmmm....lets see....

I wanna switch to v.3
but budget is tight
and since many of the new stuff isn't a necessity for arch-viz....at least here...I'll wait a bit longer (maybe Spain will win some world cup again ? hope so !)

Your region is your new resolution and the speed is constant. Therefore it will take less time to denoise a part of the image than its whole.

I know, what I meant is that combining those parts in photoshop gives me the whole image in less time (but more hassle...)

Sorry, it won't be in less time at all. Imagine if that was true, we would automate it transparent to user and make a leap.

I guess it's right. maybe it's just a psychological effect on the mind, to see a region clearing fast...

A "go on with render but just this region" option to clean just that part that still has some noise would be a big leap for many people, I think. Although SL would be quite confusing. That's something I do many times manually.
