The amount of memory a render will take depends basically on:

- the resolution
- number of MultiLight sliders and extra channels enabled
- Color MultiLight takes much more memory than regular Intensity MultiLight
- the size and number of the textures involved
- the complexity of the geometry

This last point is the key, as it can not be estimated prior to evaluate the materials, as materials can have displacement which multiplies the geometry demanding more memory.

So in conclusion, it is not possible to estimate the amount of Ram memory it will take until the render starts and the materials are evaluated.
