Woohoo! I managed to do a test going from Modo to MXstudio with perfect triangle faces. It may be obvious to some but for me I'm loving it. I was going from subpatch to obj export then import into MXstudio. I was getting alot of poly face errors. But now following workflow works perfectly.
My workflow now is:
1. create you object, make sure you assign material and part names export as .obj format.
2. load .obj object, [Modo loads .obj formats natively] set your preferred object subdivision level.
3. Freeze.
4. Triple geometry save.
5. Import into MXstudio.
This gives me freedom from using other packages for exporting.
