Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

in RC2 Studio the camera has a cone shaped projection showing it's FOV (actually it's pyramidically shaped), it would be nice to have DOF planes indicated on this cone so that we can see what's in focus and what will be out of focus.

This may seem complicated but from the info on http://www.dofmaster.com/ (gathered from http://www.metinseven.com/article_maxwe ... tricks.htm) it seems to show that these distances can be calculated if the lens length is know (which it is in Maxwell).

So how about it guys; DOF planes on camera cones?

Yes, and with that a small "focus" non rendering object to set focus interactively.
Note : DOF preview planes should be linked to image resolution, too.

Actually they need to, which also points to a problem:

When you change render image size, DOF decreases because then formerly sharp areas reveal some blur!

I was just going to ask for this very thing, and you put it much better than I could have.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
