Is there an option to deal with cos^4 vignetting, or is the mxi format documented in a way a 3rd party could write something for it?

Hi, here are some of my questions

Is there going to be any type of site insertion??? this would be very useful for architecture viz.

Now that we have clear that there will be a custom library for the user, will this be totaly shareble, will the custom texture be embeded in the sharing??

Will there be the posibility to save the quick preview window????

Will there be a paralel view, or front facade view with scale????

Is there going to be more light types???

Are we going to be able to UV map textures in the software??? Is it going to be easy???

This seems a bit broad and would require a lengthy answer which would have to enumerate features from A to Z.

Can you narrow it down to something more specific ? (for example can you list exactly which features you fear might not be present .... )

Some of the questions here seem to pertain to the upcoming Release Canditate.

However, please keep in mind the next (weekly) question batch will be sent to NL on Dec-04. If the RC is indeed released before this date then some questions in the batch would be obsolete.

Will the plugins (especially the cinema 4d plugin) be updated, at least to the standard of the max or lw plugin, or will we have to do all settings (materials, lights, cameras, etc.) in the render engine?

Regarding Cooperative/Net rendering: Will we be able to run the net monitor independantly on a non-rendering computer, where it dosen't "tie up" one of our seats?

Yes, also you will be able to watch the net processes from any node at any time. Network system has a new face and it's easier now.

We're currently tagging the corresponding fixes as FIXED 1.0, however non-tagged ones don't mean that they are not solved, it's just because they are working in a different way now, so it's not possible to talk about an obsolete system as fixed. Most of them are renewed and of course small problems are possible, no software may be 100% perfect you know.
