Ouch, that hurt!

Looks good, but could cook a bit longer. The reflections are still to grainy. I like the materials you gave that chair.

Hello Guys'n Gals,

I guess this is the end ... hahaha. :P :D

My entry is a bit ... well, I should render it with the final again to achive
the result that I had in my mind, but honestly I like this render so far ...

Freaky lighting ... the lighting itself is exactly under every chair leg. And
thats the only lightsource. Hmm, this was my probelm to many emitter,
to many dielectrics and all the issues that came with them ... haha. :P

I hope everybody had the same and more fun in this challenge as I did.

And big thanx to Max who opened this challenge ... ;o))

Tadaaaaa!

I'm afriad I've been unable to render the shot I wanted due to inadequacies of my current computer.
The materials I was using are all dielectrics which were creating too much noise for my machine to eliminate.

I haven't had the time to let it cook for 3 days either. Sorry to pull out, but I shall look forward to the next one.

Good luck to everyone else. :D

Oleg: Hi and that's a very nice and interesting looking challenge entry you made :D looks like one complex scene. I'm happy to hear you had lotsa fun taking part in this, which honestly was the whole idea behind it all :)
It been my pleasure to arrange this all, and it been so much inspiring that i'm already planning on the next December challenge, thanks again Oleg! :D

Tim: That's understandable Tim, some things takes lotsa time to render and that's the problem and also part of the challenge :) you'll be able to join in the next one in December instead. Thanks for your shown interest in this, i appreciate that alot :D

ivox: Hiya and that's a interesting and good result you achieved :) hehe, chopping up the old chair :P btw, nothing pathetic about that. It's good!

Good luck to everybody who took part in this challenge and dedicated alot of your time into this, it means alot and it's something i appreciate alot. The interest you all shown in this means i'll be arranging more and different challenges in the future including one now in the beginning of December. Keep your eyes open for it at a Maxwell forum near you ;)

Anyways so during the day or evening i'll be putting all entries you all posted here into a separate thread where you'll be able to cast your votes on those top 3 entries you like the most, i'll be handing out virtual non-existant gold, silver and chrome medals on a checkered floor to the winners :P

BIG THANKS AGAIN FROM ME TO ALL OF YOU!! :D you're all great!

BIG thanks to everyone, you been so great for jumping into this thing. It wouldn't have happend if noone showed interest or created cool renderings. :)

Voting is open now, i posted all the challenge entires so you can vote on your favourite in the Maxwell Render section of the forum (unless they move the thread hehe). Enjoy!!

Good luck in the voting everybody :)

I think there will be more entrants with M~R R1, as the render times are so much faster than the current beta version.

I'll also be sporting a nice twin Opteron system by then too, so I'll deffinitley be submitting for the next. :D

(Just have to get my M~R skills up to scratch in the interim.
Perhaps I can trade my num-chuck skills.....mind you I've not used my bow staff skills for ages, so they can go...... )
