thought i would try this
12 bulbs each with 4 metal parts, 2 glass parts, 2 plastic parts and an emitter(helix)
all sat on a plastic floor, nothing else in the scene
left it running for 19hrs reached 21.+ levels

i think it kinda looks funky
hope you like

The pinBox shot is nice and I like the texture on the table.

The lightbulbs.... hmm it seams as if they refract too much. It looks like the bulb itself is a solid block of glass.

yeah i may try again with now refaction at all. its a splined profile with an outline so it should comeout solid looking so it has to be the level its set on. still kinda funky looking in an arty sort of way :)
pleased you like the pin box

The "Lynx" shot has potential too, but I think the top part is bit too dark.
In your shoes I'd try plastic with specular HSV=0,0,50, color HSV=0,0,80 and UV roughness of 0.7.

The olive oil shot cought me eye... i like it.
If the blue cap was a little less saturated in color it would be even better IMHO.

So far you Camera shot , the Olive oil and the little toy truck, stand out.

I like this helicopter from a modeling standpoint. Is it finished yet ? or will you model a shell (cabin) also ?

If it is finished... a couple of crits:
The concrete texture you have is quite good , but its a little busy for this scene and it seems to not offer enough contrast for this model.

Also, maybe a simple reference object somewhere in the scene might help give an idea of scale. (Judging by the motor, I can see it is rather small, but a more recognizable reference might help).

Another option would be to try and experiment a little with some different color components... to spice it up a little. Like yellow plastic blades, some more brushed metal parts, maybe a white (instead of dark gray) servo box with red-ish or blue-ish plastic arm etc.

im modelling everything on it, even the controller so that will where you get the scale. i will drop it into a scene once its all done. colours on the real thing are like this, but this should be ok once its dropped into a scene with other colours around. pleased you like the modelling though
shame most of it will be hidden once the shell goes onto i, but i have some ideas for that too :)
