This is only the 9th revision of the first alpha version. I do believe speed will come. As fast as Vray, maybe, maybe not.

We cannot really go by the status of an unreleased or alpha product like Vray for Maya. That will have to remain for when it is actually released. The same could go for Maxwell when version 1.0 is released.

I think the best you can do at this moment is suggest to Next Limit how you feel about the rendernodes and give them the time to respond as to why they intend to offer the number of nodes with a standard license of Maxwell.

I have to ask, did Vray in its version 1.0 come with some many free nodes?

Dual Xeon HT counts as 2 CPU even with HT enabled, so you will be able to use it at full power.

Regarding maxwelltech, we do our best trying to answer all the questions, but not easy when you find like 20 hard questions in one e-mail. Please keep your mails easy :roll:

Try launching mxcl manually without the -threads flag to see how many threads uses. Then try specifying 4 threads instead.
