Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

Well, based on the second survey they did, we should come after Revit...
Certainly at this point it makes sense for NL to wait for XM to come out, unless they ultimately go the route of doing everything in MR and simply providing export plugins, which I personally think is the way they should go, otherwise every time they make a minor enhancement they have to update a whole bunch of plugins. I do hope Victor and they guys are seriously considering this, as upsetting as it may be to some of the "favoured" users, as otherwise it will always mean getting the top ranked plugins right away and having to wait for the "less important" ones to be updated.....

Hi Stefano, how are you?
I hope of see soon the plug-in for Bentley,
I have repeated many times this, "is a big step for Microstation have Maxwell on board"
This new engine is terrific, stupendous, and to be able to use directly without to have to use others software is fundamental.

however you know if they are working to the project?
in the list of plugin as you see, it is not present even "in progress".

I wait confident

ciao

No, I don't know whether they are working on it but, as I said, if you look at the rating from when they asked who used what, Microstation should come after Revit.

:: quick NL sort this out please.... soon we will be using XM and maybe a few of us will no longer consider M~R for our renders.::

p_mart wrote:Hi, Stefano, glad to see you here too. My brother is doing some (great) work for Maxwell guys (he is spanish forum moderator), so I hope to test it soon - but it should be through 3DMAX still... Hope MS people help Maxwell to develop a plugin soon.

Hey Pedro, nice to see you here too :-)
Bentley (Phil) claim to have given NL their SDK so, as far as I know, there is no impediment from that side.
Maybe your brother can help??

X_site, I doubt the MS engine will get better any time soon. If you follow the VIZ NG at Bentley you should look at my latest post there, and the reaction it caused, none of which was, as seems to be the case lately, from Bentley....

Yes, it really would be nice to have the MS plugin. I am about to finally get a copy of MR and it really bothers me to have to get to it though MAX...

You and your Max hate < ; Bring on the microstation plugin I say!

:-) Let's call it dislike...
Problem is that I rendered in MS for years so I find any kind of editing in MAX annoying....
Plus, even now, I only use it as a means to get to another rendering plugin so that kind of bothers me as well :-)

OK. Until now only the VIZ dept had MR.
Now both I and a power user from an archtecture team have it as well.
We are finding that it has great potential for easy peasy massing study renders so it really would be nice to have the MS plugin so we can evangelical on this :)
Would someone from NL be so kind as to give us a rough idea on when the MS plugin release is planned??
It would be lovley to no longer need MAX to get to MR. I guess the only thing I would miss from MAX is the much simpler animation interface so I do hope that this is one of the things that are either part of MR standalone or part of MS plugin, not counting on MS animation...

Microstation is shurely a nice software and renders fine in certain situations. We use MS as a renderer in about 50% of our projects, now we'll starting to get jobs that demands a higher render quality, which unfortinatly MS dosnt manage today :(

Thats why we've ordered Maxwell, Though my CEO is after me with a whip, telling me to really push the process of making a plugin forward!

I dont know how to do that :) I can just wait and hold my thumbs...

If you know any one else that is interested ask them to join the forum and make some noise.
I think that the more people ask, the more NL listens.

Well it will be nice. This will keep pace with other 3d render. I usually have problem with rendering in radiosity method - the calculation of radiosity brake often the 2 Gb limit.

And I have had that happen with PT.
I know it is wishful thinking but it would be nice if the extra time to the 22nd of November meant that the MS plugin would be rolled out as well...

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
