I am new to MAX and Maxwell (2 days)
Has anyone experienced mapping problems when using bitmaps?
I have a concrete wall and two lights. When I render, the only thing I see is a grey wall instead of a concrete texture.
Is it a "mapscaler" problem? I used mapscaler modifier, nothing changed.
Is it because I use real world units? I tried without them and still...
Is it because I let it render only for 30min?. I don't think so, I think it is a problem with map scaling.

It's safest to use rgb format bump maps instead of greyscale ones. Just change the format from greyscale to rgb and resave.

I am talking about RGB format. I checked in PShop in mode command. The problem is that I can't see the texture. There is no standard problem, I see almost all textures. Strange what happened with this one. Maybe I should render more than 30min. I'll let you know when I try that again.

Correct!
All texture modifiers are not supported yet.
Use UVWMap modifier and it if you need it big, then play with gizmo.

I have another example,
I used a smoke map for color and bump in a maxwell difuse material but I can't see that even after 1h of rendering. Everything else seems very detailed. Any explanation?

Yes, 3dsmax procedurals are not supported.

You mean not supported now? Will they be supported when official release is out?
