is it not as simple as setting the absorb and scatter to 0 ?

... but if you have much materials than you must open each and change the parameter, and if you like to get it back, than you must remember which value you have used and change all materials again. Much work.

Good point Micha! I am also all for global override options. A standard in most render-engines.

ahhhh, it goes beyond simplicity, it can help keep sanity !

further i hear carpal tunnel syndrom is caused by multiple repeated actions, and is very detrimental to all cg artists . . . .

NL you can help prevent this terrible disease and save the industry by supplying a toggle for SSS
