Wonderful lamps, great renderings. :D

You write, that the images looks sometimes to greyish - I try to use a lower gamma like 1.6 or 1.4 and more brightness per shutter control. I think, the default gamma of 2.2 is to soft. Disadvantage - the vignetting will be shown stronger.

sure i'd like to know once produced where to find some... ;)
I would too -- they've been in production for several months, and I don't have even a sample of the round one. I don't know of any place to buy them online. I hope to sell them on bathsheba.com, but it is just taking a long time...Materialise is doing a very interesting thing with the MGX line, but they are not so easy to work with.

Thanks, I'll try it. A little vignetting would be a good trade for the very flat renders I have been getting in well lit scenes.

That's nice to hear, thanks! I like it too. I don't have it very big, and it would need some tweaking up, but now's the time when I'm looking for a holiday postcard image. If I use this one, I'll post the final render.

Excellent !

But please do not tweak too much  I like it as is; including the alternate views on the left and right.

Not very exciting as renders go, but I thought you might like the object. I must get of these lightbox setups which have been posted...the object is OK, but I wish the background wasn't blown out.

This render is noteworthy only because it's the first time I was able to apply a bump map to a sculpture. I had to use UVMapper as Rhino doesn't export UV maps for meshes that are not NURBS-based.
