Hello Tom, I´m thinking about the strange effect (own shadows etc etc) you comment a few days ago about the wall of my image, and i realised the reason can be the tree i put in front of the ball, and maybe light and shadows on the wall seems strange:

thanks for your analysis Tom

Yeah, 8etty you're right. So hard to find ideal conditioned shots of maps but at least we can chose the right one with less hard shadows and if we must use it anyway then a good light positioning may swallow its side effect.

Thanks Tom and 8etty, your explanations are very useful for me, another bump test:

IMO this scene suffers from "over-texturisation" :) There's just too much in the textures and also they are blurry.

luigimux wrote:coll render mane! I would adjust the door's mapping and the glass of the street lamps.. probably u should model the inside of them. I mean that the lamps seem to be full of glass and not an emptied half cone
competelly agree, in fact i was looking for the last version of my "street" but i lost it, i solved all these issues, and final render in my opinion was so better, btw thanks

what amount of bump are you using?

I´m trying to do a realistic carpet, like the ones created with displacement but can´t do it.....what do you recommend me?
Oh my god i had forgotten this thread :D ..nico3d thanks for your words, about amount of bump 20/50 should be enought but all depend what you want to get and of course your rgb (white/black) map you are using..i usually use this values. i hope i can help you, if you have any doubt dont think and post it
