Living area of a house I'm wrking on .
2 day render on a dual opteron. If you leave the glass out of the windows the noise pretty much dissappears but then it doesn't look like glass.

Those couches are a bit too colourfull for that scene in my opinion... They yell CG!!!

The red easy chair models lack some of the seams which would make them more realistic but the color is not too far off - see web page

The interesting thing is that before I added glass to the windows both the seats and the white fireplace chimney rendered smooth without facets.
As soon as I added the glass the facets appeared along with more pronounced noise throughout the scene.

I will post the glass-less render tomorrow.

here's the image without glass - a little bit of noise in the shade areas but nothing like the first one. no more repeat tiles on the fireplace 8) Image

a way to have no nise and glass, since you have to Phtoshop the Background into the image anyways, why no photoshop the glass in too, combine the glass from the glass pass and the clean no glass pas, esspecially great if you dont need an animation , yet still achivable within any animation comp pakage like After effects or Shake.

BUT WONDERFULL image!, love how the light bonces into the open space and high ceiling, great floor and furniture textures. Love how the ceilings came out too. WOW the flowers are stunning with their sss.

I did a 2min Job in phtoshop, masking out the Noisy one everywhere exept the windows and floor right in front of the window,,looks great for a final image for the client, they'll not know the extral photoshop step, yet be thrilled with the windows background

AGAIN SORRy DID NOT mean to do anythikjig but see how this would look after 2 min in phtoshop,,, I wount ditribute this image , it will be deleted after this post. all credits evrinc

Great job, cant wait to see more of this set and other renders

Good suggestion and thanks for taking the trouble to try it. I'll do a final comp with some higher res images - there are still a few bits and pieces to add to the model.

GREAT to hear your adding more to this set, Cuz it looks great now, but with more stuff to it will look more like "home".
