Nice work. I'd find the chair a bit more understandable if I'd ever in my life seen anything like it. Hard to gauge how good a render is if you don't know what the real thing looks like.
I don't know if Maxwell can do materials like velvet properly. I haven't even tried. In lightwave one can apply a gradient to the incident angle of light... but we don't have a 'velvet shader' so material like that only comes out looking like cotton.
The floor is great, nice.. no repeat, very convincing... however, the room is HUGE... looks like a large hall! Perhaps make it a smaller room... add a side table, perhaps a lamp. This LOOKS like a victorian print, perhaps from the late 18th century... that would mean it would be surrounded by lots of detail... horror vacuumi.

If we had just one lowly SuperStarDestroyer, all of earth's problems would rapidly become rather trite. I mean, who worries about war in the middle east when a 1.5km death triangle is in orbit.
