Water is a box, only surface noised, physical sky+sun on both renders.
There are no shadows on water, and it seems that caustics tend to appear with dielectric water, wich are too strong with plastic.

I'll make tests with a sun emitter.

:D

Why does the water appear curved near the right end of the image. I mean, shouldn't it be straight across?

[EDIT] I guess it's the shadow that appears wrong. ???

I hoped you won't see it :oops: , it's quick modeled

Use a plane instead of a box for the water... And try increasing uv roughness on the plastic to sooth those caustics. :wink:

Thx, i've applied your tips!

I tried for the first time an emitter for sun, but i can't have hard shadows :?

Next render is on his way :wink:

uv=0,2 is too much :?
And no caustics anymore (i tried with uv=0 but nothing)

Same render with dielectric water is on its way :D

How to do hard shadows with a sun emitter?

put the emitter further away from the scene, and make it small like 0,5 m....

right, it's a segmented plane with 2 noise modifiers, and physical sun

i'll make tests tonight with emitter :D

you know what would help to sell the baby...

try painting a water mark on the wall... like a darker ciment... or better a different surface with plastic to cast spec. where the wall is supposed to be wet... because the water is slightly moving so it discover some wet wall at each wave...
