Really nice work Falcon :) you're nuts doing something like this but i like it hehe

If i can comment on a few things..
- Water reflections look weird, but that's ok.. it's not easy to solve now
- The dark grey surfaces and the brown brick surfaces don't quite match up properly in color.. i think the contrast between the two materials is too big or something
- Ditch polygons and models not visible by camera to get the massive crazy polycount down to a humane level ;)
- I hope to God that you do lots of compositing and not just render it all in one shot :P

You've been doing a really great job with this! The only thing that's realy been bugging me about what you've done so far is the large variety of stone in the architecture. Generally, in "ancient" cities like this, they would normally only use one type of stone (possibly one other for minimal accents) - whatever is most common for the region. As much as I like the textures individually, they clash when put together - especially the bridge map. It just dosent fit right.

Either way, you've done a wonderfull job of modelling. Keep up the excellent work!

I don't know falconking.... :?

You know I've been praising your work, both in quality and speed, but I have to say, this image makes me really question maxwell being used for a shot at this distance. With the way the things are textured right now, it just seems to me to look a bit CGish. Perhaps this look could be attained using a regular renderer and maxwell for the shots tha are really up close.

My point is: the right tool for the right job.

Then again, what do I know.

Still, your work kicks mucho butt!!!

:: i still think the biggest clash in this scene is the materials... sorry, the modeling is fantastic [in more ways than one] but i still find some of the material choices a bit too much...
then again waht do i know  ::

hmm.........yes...like the other said, after the building come in I personally think it is getting more and more not realistic and look like game mapping.... I hope this is only the lighting and mapping cause this unrealisticness...

but good idea of the scene. it should be a good environemtn for fighting. :D

I like the image, but it seems that your city is an amalgam of buildings without any urbanistic rules.
For exemple, that big monster building from the centre should have a market place or a square in front of monumental entrance.
