this is my latest work on 3DsMax7 i render this before on MentalRay and it was neat,, now on maxwell :)

alot of time render and still there are some grainy spots ....

17 hrs level 20

and this is on MentalRay 3.3 render time was 4 hrs 12 mins >>>

the difference is of course most apparent in reflective objects... too bad about the noise... that just ruins the image. very odd noise pattern too.

I love the image...... both of them.

Nice comparison! Interesting how much more color bounce (too much) is in the mental ray image. It looks looks flat compared to the M~R render - and someone turned the light off in the other room :wink:

If the M~R render didn't have the noise it would be a very nice image. Do you have reflective caustics turned on?
