Ok. here goes.
a) indoor concrete almost never looks like that unless it's treated to get that OUTDOOR weathered look.
b) The scale looks wrong, only because it seems the foreground is blurry. in a real camera it's very difficult to get depth of field blur beyond 5 feet. Which means, your model may be a couple feet across (as far as Maxwell's concerned)
c) The people are too happy and active. Airport people are generally a zombie-like shuffling mass of unhappiness. Not to mention nobody has any luggage... Mostly people in airports going somewhere... I mean, they are travelling from gate-luggage claim, or from door to gate, etc. If someone were to stand there and gesturing, security would do a body cavity search immediately.
d) the mapping of the concrete panels is wacky... I would suggest a combination of UV and geometry to ensure they panels work.
e) your bitmaps may be too bright. which would explain the blown out hilights and the saturated colours... there is a thread about that here somewhere, do a search for 'reflectance'.
f) Airport floors, walls, chairs, etc. are usually well used... unless this is a brand new airport I would tone down the reflection quite a bit.
Cheers.
Ian.
If we had just one lowly SuperStarDestroyer, all of earth's problems would rapidly become rather trite. I mean, who worries about war in the middle east when a 1.5km death triangle is in orbit.
