Hello!
I think the main problem with the color of the water comes from the saturation of the "Transmittance" color. The more saturated it gets, the easier is to get closer to that color as the light attenuates. By default, the water preset from the Transparent assistant assigns a pure white color to the Transmittance, and this will make it darker and darker, but not bluer.
Adding some saturation to it and choosing the right hue will make your pool look more natural.
