I have maxwell materials in C4D from Laubwerk plugin (created as maxwell materials). All images are tif´s.
The images come in as kind of greyscale/normal maps. When converted to png it seems to work.
I don´t want to rework every material.

Does anywone have a solution? Is this a bug?

By the way: an update to the cinema plugin is absolutely necessary!

Here is what i found :

If i use Tif Images that are saved with compression (Here it was LZW compression) maxwell seems not to be able to load the image correctly.
Uncompressed Tif load just fine.
That seems to be a bug.
