"Extension object MaxwellVolumetric has a emitter material applied. Extension objects do not support emitter materials yet."

Is there plan to support it in future ? To make something like this, e.g. -

Another possible approach:

- you can probably mesh parts of your sim?
- then mesh only parts of it that should be considered "on fire", create a pretty simple mesh, not high rez at all.
- apply an emitter material to this mesh and hide it to camera.

If the mesh also has UVs you can then also easily create an a more interesting multicolored emitter by adding several emitter components of different color to the emitter material.

Since when Volumetric extension supports emitter material ?

I just checked release notes for stable, early access builds and there is no info about this.
Even in docs is written: "Any Maxwell material (except emitters) can be applied to the volumetric object (or particles), but generally a normal lambert material works just fine."

EDIT: support was added in 3.1.99.9 build

Emitter for OpenVDB volumetric isn't supported for now.
