hello
i created simple plane and scaled it to 0.3 ( x,z) than i added displacement and used voronoi 1-D1 for the displacement
when i actvated fire or rendered the scene maxwell crashed
i tested the same in v 3.0.1.3 and i haven't any problem with displacement
and when i open the scene created with v 3.0.1.3 in the new version 3.0.99.4 ; displacement worked fine

I can confirm strange behavior with Displacement in 3.0.99.4.
I was able to recreate scene like you did, even Fire worked for me, but after I changed subdivision or height and clicked on Fire again, Maxwell Studio crashed.
Same happened with render, when I made simple change in displacement.

In 3.0.13, everything is working, even when Fire is launched (scaling object, adjusting subdivision,height,...)

It happens with non-scaled plane 1x1 too.

1.imported plane 1x1
2.created camera with default settings
3.created new material with displacement - pretesselatted, texture is procedural Voronoi 1-D1
4.launched Fire, changed subdivision from 5 to 128
5.changed back to 64 = CRASH

3.0.13 doesn't crash.
