I installed Maxwell on an alternative Drive ("P:/")
and when I try to render in Rhino I get the message:
"Maxwell Render was not found on this machine".

Fire runs fine... Any ideas?

That means that the plugin is unable to find your Maxwell 3 installation, using the MAXWELL3_ROOT environment variable. So please check that and make sure it points to the right directory.

It may be necessary to reboot the machine, or at least kill & restart Explorer.

Personally, I'd recommend that whenever possible, anyway. Installing on a different drive means, basically, that you permanently tie the two drives together, since registry entries, appdata, etc are on the system drive, and the program binaries on the installation drive. Not too big a deal with Maxwell, since it doesn't use those things as much as some other applications, but a good rule of thumb in general, imho.

I concur. I tipycally don't do this, but recently added a SSD drive which has limited storage due to higher cost, so I have been testing having programs on a traditional drive.
