I am exporting to MXS format in Sketchup and importing the references into C4D. All ok except the detail is very low even at 100% setting. Dots and Boxes. Can't position the object accurately without loads of test renders.

The displayed points are derived directly from the mesh vertices in the referenced MXS, so the only way to get more detail would be to subdivide the geometry in SketchUp (by subdivide, I mean split faces to produce more triangles in the exported meshes).

The model has 2600 faces and over 8000 edges but only a tiny cube with a few dots make up the MXS object in the C4D VP. No bounding box that shows the extent of the model.

If you upload or send me the file (preferably the SKP), I can take a look, but outside of that, all I can say is that the plugin reads the meshes in the MXS, and gets their vertices (and makes copies of the source mesh vertices, in the case of an instance).
