I would welcome an option to exclude objects from being cut by render booleans.

+1 from my end. The primitives work well in simple cases, but excluding certain objects would allow to create much more elaborate cuts. I have currently a gearbox with gears in it. The shape of the box does not allow me to cut it and leave the gears inside intact.
