is it just me or ACDSEE classic 32 is the fastest and best?
no matter what I try (I challenge you all to find me something I didn't), they are too slow, too heavy, too ugly ...
can it be that this 20 year old app is still the best for fast browsing of jpg, tif, tga, png and psd ?!?!
it's fast when browsing networked locations while others just fail there.
it allows drag n drop from it's window to photoshop.
and it's small !
can it be ?!?!
I want a better one only because of the way it displays some images like iff and transparent png...
but there is none !?

tried it before. not as fast as ACDSee and icons are so childish and colorful I can't decide what to click ...

Acdsee pro 5, is very stable here on xp64.. many other versions were buggy..

there was a program by a group called Fcoder- "ibrowser" but it's not running well on newer windows.

It's ok looking and fast. The drawback is it doesn't open HDRI's, I think.

I have to say I no longer use image browsers, just windows image viewer or explore other kind of files from Photoshop or Gimp.

I've hidden most of XnViews icons, I set up the 3 mouse buttons as I like, it reads HDRs and huge ones as well, even CR2 from my camera.....it's ok for my needs. I'm not fanatic about opening a folder of images in 5 seconds versus 7....Once the thumbs are created it's instant anyway.
