To reduce the repeats in your procedurals, bricks or noise or whatever else you use you need to combine several differently sized procedurals to break up the repeating patterns more. You can layer them at different opacitys on the surface from very faint and barely visible to slightly stronger but not so much you ruin the original scratchpattern.

Thanks for the tip.
I am already doing that, with 2 maps.

Sure there could be more.. But the material will become slower and also take more time to start rendering.

i hope the procedural parameters itself can be tweaked to avoid the slight redundancy as that is what i'd expect from random offset.

Anytime polynurb.

All procedurals will show repeating patterns if tiled big enough on a surface, it shows in nature and in fractals too. Breaking the patterns is the only way at the moment. I don't think the increase in rendertime will be that big with a couple of extra textures or procedurals added to the materials.

I think these repeats are a bug, because procedurals should not be repeating, thats one of the main reasons to use procedural, the absence of repeats. I think a software update is needed.

I tried to make a large expanse of concrete from 4 similar concrete maps using 'brick' with a broad blend. but it lacks any randomness, just repeats immediately so this must be a bug.
