When I try to use the network wizard to render animations, I get a popup saying the frames can't be found in the scene file, then it lists all of my frames, then it says your render will fail, then it does...

I am not sure? How do I do that? I have tried "render animation..." individually and have tried network animation render. When I did the regular render animation it would render the first frame and when it got to the second it would say I am missing an environment.exr of some sort. And I had a plain scene with just a cylinder and a light... I was just testing.

Ohhh, the missing environment exr file is my fault. I will fix it.

But you can add a Maxwell Environment if you want to test it, and it will work.

You have to generate first the scenes for the frames (with the Render Animation panel), and after that you can pass these rendered scenes to the Network render. (The network render itself can't export animation, but it can manage the exported mxs files.)

Thanks for the reply. I will just use Modo to render it. I will have to keep testing things when I get time. Kind of like I read on another post. Once I start getting into CAD items and millions of polygons the plugin does weird things. Like not exporting, sometimes I don't even get a export screen or anything. Has this been tested with poor topology Cad items?

But I am also starting a personal project and so far it has been flawless. (I am only basically in the layout stage of a kitchen) But I have a feeling this plugin will work awesome for projects that are from start to finish, I create everything, I uv everything, I texture everything.

I will try to keep you posted on it, but like I said. You might be interested to try to work on a Cad item used with the CAD loader and see the funny things that happen.

And finally, I am on 601 sp5, I bet even better results would come out of 701 with the latest Cad loader..

I don't have CAD loader so I can't do direct test with it.

But if you find bugs, weird things during the export, just send me the scene (simplified if possible), and I will try to fix the bug (if any).

Okay, great response time. I can't share the current cad item (which always happens when I have a problem) but when I come across something fishy of any sort I will be sure to post it on here right away.
