i seem to recall a thread a while back about a lava lamp that one had acheived a certain effect from the alpha 1.1.ish version. after many many posts questioning the method , and many rebuttals from the original poster, it was finally revealed to the respected community that it was really just tomfoolery

what is so different about the tomfoolery going on here , tis a magnificent render and should be regarded as such, if the anger is that maxwell only posts go here, then let the moderators moderate

its the way we work in hollywood . . . . got lotsa work for your type here sqwall

dear jep,
my complaint is NOT about the rendering/compositing/vfx itself,
he LIEd to us, said "here's raw output with black dots on it" and
he posted a post fx image with black dots on it then he edited
and erased his post, sorry i cannot stand lies and see also what
others think. he MUST be telling us the truth instead of hiding it.

Ive deleted the post because I thing that on page two I made myself clear about HOW I MADE THE IMAGE. I've excused to all more than once. So please STOP.

the term tomfoolery is not a soley a tribute to u is an actual term at least in america, not sure of the origins tho, just a nice quip . . . um thats my humor . . . .

comparing sqwalls first post and your first post , i find that

meanwhile on your first post, there were no good comments or criticizms or congratulations, simply :

if you were being a clever chap, coulda been followed up by a nice work, specialy for someone who has say less than 2% of the total of your posts

rather tho, a tone seems implied, and a fact that you seem to continue to revel in, that sqwall is nothing more than a bald-faced liar . . . .when in fact he was creative in his solution to the noise problem. not unlike some noise filtering routine . . . slighty more involved tho

it was then folowed by a bunch of post full of cynicism and derrision from many. . . .

the original post made no claims, that i can find as to what may or may not have done . . . .if it was or was not the appropriate section of the forum for modified post , well it could be expressed better. . . .

you made a presentation mistake, a joke, a sweet little lie.. no problem.
but there's signature of used soft's on your first post says max7 + maxwell.
if you don't put there other softs then a new one who's watching the rendering
will assume "it's pure maxwell" and this ain't good for Maxwell...
i'm not against you personally and i bow in front of your great job.
but let's be honest in what we do.

I don't know what you are talking about here. It's a great post rendered in Maxwell. Post-processed or not, that doesn't interest. And as he said, ervery great CG-Studio uses this pass-technique, so stop complaining about the ways how sombody makes a maxwell-render.

we're ok with post-processing and is not the subject.

Geez.. i been reading back on what i missed during the night. You're all crazy paranoid jerks with the exception of sqwall. I never ever thought this forum and the people on it would drop sooo low below the lowest line of intelligence and common sense. Bashing him this much for pages and pages just for a rendering he did, you should all be ashamed of yourselfs for that. It makes me feel sick to see people go on a witch hunt like this i thought better of some of you than this. Honestly i'm very much dissapointed in seeing the lameness and personal attacks all of you launch on him for his rendering.
Sqwall has my full total support, no one should treat anyone like this. It should not be accepted on this or any other forum, no wonder people leave this place for other more friendly forums to hang out on. it's a sad day..

Well dear Tom, first of all the final pourpose of Maxwell is making movies, so please take care about your words.

Secondly, could you please explain the diference between adding a reflexion pass or a glow as a post process?
There are toons of images in this forum, what´s more, in this gallery, that are color corrected, glow added or noise freeless.
These postprocesses are not tricks?

Remember dude this is not only a technical forum.
