Hi everyone.
Here are some of my product/object renders.
Lighting is done with HDR Light Studio and/or with photographed HDRI with backplates on location.
All critique and comments are welcome!
cheers

I work together with a freelance modeller, she made a high res model of the spicebomb bottle.
Then I used Maya to cut it into pieces and rendering it in Maxwell. I photographed water splashes in the studio, and then all the compositing was done in Photoshop.
The image below shows it visually.

100% true. Maxwell is so easy and pick up and learn, it's up to advanced knowledge or real world lighting that really separates amateur looking images from professional looking images.

Thanks for the comments.
I'm glad there's the recognition of the importance of photography. One of the reasons I use Maxwell is that the "3d aspect" (shading rendering etc) is easier, so I can put more energy in camera angles, lighting and post-production (also the things I like doing most).

@ itsallgoode9: I've known your work for quite a while now and I must compliment you on your alcohol bottle renders. In my opinion it's the one the best renderings I've seen in it's category, and I use it as a quality benchmark to aim for. And am I mistaking, or did I read somewhere you're also working with Heavy Artillery?

Thanks for the compliments! I worked with Heavy Artillery for a few months over the summer but the last I heard from Brett, he decided to take time off and wasn't sure where he would leave Heavy Artillery.

Thanks man.
The lighting was all done with HDR Light Studio. I rarely use emitters, only for small light such as the bulbs in headlights etc.
I always prefer using HDRI's for lighting, but the down side is that the Multilight feature becomes useless since all the lights in the HDR are treated as one light layer.
That's why I usually render out different lighting setups and then bring them together in post-production.
