Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

I've been a subscriber to Adobe since last year, very soon after they introduced it. You could still purchase the software at that time.
Here's my experience with it: I need illustrator, photoshop, indesign and dreamweaver, but did not have funds to purchase. Initially, the monthly charges were rather high (about 70 euros a month). My initial plan was to subscribe only for few months. But, they came up with a cheaper offer (if you choose an annual subscription). Also, now I could test and add more adobe software to work flow. So, I'm still a subscriber.
I don't use the cloud for anything.
I simply use the software (and keep my data with me), and pay the monthly bill (27.99 euros).

But, subscription-only pricing model is a big change indeed.

My few thoughts on the CC are:

+ I kind of like the subscription method because it reduces the starting costs drastically

+ You always have the latest version of the software.

- I have absolutely no use for the cloud storage, so I really don't want to pay for it (don't know how much of the price this part is)

- In our company we use photoshop for 99% of the work and very rarely Illustrator, InDesign or other Adobe products. For a business, there is no way to just get single products and even for individuals, just photoshop costs way too much compared to the whole Suite. Ideally would be a solution where you could get the amount of licenses you really need for the software (say 10 Photoshop licenses and 1 complete suite for the whole office) so everybody would be able to use another software if needed (given that only one persion is using it simultaneously) but you would not have to pay for 9 licenses of a software you only use in 1% of the time and never on more than one machine.
