Tom, in this render, I use SSS on plastic material (the cap) but It kinda look strange...

sss is 0,4 & 0,5..
I use only the spec channel with a map.
rest of bottle is plastic too, but no sss

btw, this is a wip.

IMHO, it's pretty nice, why do you think the cap is strange?

WOOOW! It is good. I do not thing the gab is strange, too. Maybe colour is not nice... ;-)

I dunno.... I've remodeled the cap with its real geometry (like in real life), coz before it was more like a fiiled tube... we'll see

I made 0,4 and 0,5... when I make 0,01 and 05... the cap is almost glowing.... :?

I'll try different tests :idea:

Clever camera angle and use of DOF! (They help avoid having to include background detail).

The render looks very real. Nice 8)

I've also reduced the spec.. a little on the cap...

ok, here are different test... tell me which one U like...

I think a value for scattering just under absortion is best , that is 2,0/1,9, this is the last one...
