Hello
Bin fluids crash Studio and Maxwell every time you try to render it. Bin as particles works well. This is related only to Mac OS X, on Win7 and Ubuntu (tested only as nodes) everything works just fine. For me it is 100% reproductible with all .bin files I created or found on internet. Also this happen in all 2.7.x version. In 2.6 it worked without any problems. I make .bin files with my own custom coded python exporter, but I am pretty sure it works correctly, because crashes occurs only on OS X, my current version is 10.7.4

Steps to reproduce:
1 - Start Studio, right click to viewport, choose Import, choose .bin file, hit ok
2 - Point view at particles and hit Fire button
3 - Crash :)

Shall I post also crash report?
Thanks

Hi d76,

Thats the old RFRK functionality, its totally deprecated and should not be available from anywhere just for compatibility with old scenes, having the possibility of importing it its an oversight when cleaning the old RFRK from Studio.

The new way of using .bin files is through the new "Maxwell Extensions" system that appeared in version 2.6. Right clicking in the Objects panel allows yo to create the extension for particles or meshes(depending of what you are loading), and configure the options that will appear in the Object Parameters panel. All the documentation can be checked at http://support.nextlimit.com/display/ma ... Extensions

Hope this helps,
