Gonna slowly add some stuff to this thread...
November 2013
Award designed for the Smithsonian

Some Koons projects becoming public so I'll show the pre-vis below
Pink Ballerina, marble (left). Ode to Love, stainless steel (right)

October 2013
We just completed some unique collaborations with Lady Gaga.
The below image is a frankenstein combination of 3D scanning plus plenty of digital sculpting.
For sculpting we combined our efforts with outside help from the fantastic artist Scott Eaton.

I used Multilight to match the photographic conditions of a photoshoot we held.
Clay renders were blended with photographs and digital painting to produce the album cover (left).
The clay renders were also used as previsualization for the gigantic figure sculpture (right), which is CNC-milled foam.

May 2013
Rendering for a client. Project is a firefly that was xray scanned, scaled up, 3D printed, and embedded with LEDs to become a hanging lamp.

Inspired by this thread in which Eric Lagman describes his generic studio shot setup, I recreated the setup and this is the test render. It seems to be a nice solution; I hadn't considered the half-bowl backdrop before.

Old demo of liquid-in-glass method

Feb 2013
Rendered a friend's espresso cup concept

Previously WIP flower
