Materials - in MXED but not Studio

Materials - in MXED but not Studio

Some of my materials are to be found OK in MXED but not in Studio. Is there a way to fix this?

In Studio, if I use the Materials editor to locate these MXMs (vie "open MXM") they show. But via the Materials Browser they don't. Other materials show in both panels as they should do. I'm completely mystified.
