Hi
Is there any good software for creating good draperies as curtains and drapery (table cloth, bed linen etc.) that you could recommend?


I'm using rhino for modelling and scene setup with maxwell, but sadly that software does not have much capabilities of creating soft objects ...
So any stand-alone application or even plugin that can be tweaked perfectlywould be great!

You can use anything from Maya, 3dsmax, Modo, Cinema4D and Blender to a whole bunch of various plugins to create that. It all depends on the size of your piggybank.

Sandy, I'd never heard of Marvelous Designer but the visual feedback in this example is amazing. Very intuitive.

Marvellous Designer is really great for simulations, but be aware that it can only output triangles which means that shiny materials won't look good. It's great for matte cloth though.
