Hi,
  I'm new in using Maxwell ... I do not understand why when I use the material
"displacement", SketchUp quits unexpectedly (I checked it was only one face)

It is due to a bug in 2.7; the workaround is to apply displacement materials to entire groups & components only, as described here.
