Been using the plugin the past days again, just a comments:

I get te message to update Silverlight all the time. I am still afraid that I accidentally update...

Using the plugin-icon to select a material (by clicking geometry) requires several clicks on the icon. Is that normal ?
Selecting a material this way is very handy btw. I use it to quickly select the material on imported cars. Otherwise I can hardly quickly asign carpaint to the dozens of cars in the model.

Any chance the future will be Silverlightless.

1. You should be able to control this in Silverlight Preferences (double-click Microsoft Silverlight in Applications). If you are on Windows, updating to Silverlight 5 is fine.
2. The window needs to have focus before the plugin gets any 'click' message, so if the window is unfocused, it should take two clicks. There is a toolbar button for this too, though, so you could try using that.
3. Yes, that is the plan. I want it to be very similar to the current UI though, and that is not super easy to do in HTML, so it is taking awhile to write.
