Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

Funny enough, you are not far off -- it's from a long poem I wrote about losing direction and trying to recover...

I was alot younger then

Jason.

it would be acceptable, but now try to READ something without login. annoucements is all Zdeno can get ;)
I don't know who invented this restriction, but I can comment to this only with picture to save 1000 words.

so just

give at least chance to READ for unregistered users

edit: now I recalled this restriction (I am not 100% sure) appeared when there was RC4 and RC5 riot and NL was very ashamed. so now there is spectacular 2.6 and there is really nothing to be ashamed. 2.6 with hair and new SSS is just great so ....

They can read if they login -- that's all I did for a while when I was testing the Maxwell Demos.

Other forums I'm on block images and attachments if you don't login, so it's not that weird.

Best,
Jason.

i visit the forum regularly but 99% of the time i just check the off topic section. i discover interesting, funny, quirky new things here and sometimes i post an interesting link.

i find it to be one of the best mannered forums - ever been to a german cnc machining forum? they almost threaten to gas you if you dare to ask a question that has been answered before or tell you that you're a complete moron for buying a certain cnc component when you clearly can build one yourself out of kitty-litter and popsicle sticks for 30 cents less

i miss rivoli though - and i've run out of variants to misspell mihai :D

I check the forum for new posts several times a day while waiting for a render.

Most of the discussions though seem to revolve around plugins for apps I don't use.

Unfortunately due to NDA restrictions I am not able to post samples. :(

I've spent an inordinate amount of time on a forum for the local football (handegg for zdeno) team and I can say that I've never seen a more verbally viscous place -- they will attempt to eviscerate you if you say something they don't agree with... and me being me, I always said something they didn't agree with so I got really good at fending off would-be attackers.

I saw it as similar to playing the game "whack-a-mole"

This place felt like home to me from the day I discovered it -- I've always felt out of place wherever I was because I held to ideals that the people around me either were apathetic to or outright hostile towards.

As zdeno has said elsewhere we are all a little crazy here, and that suits me fine. :D

I also agree that pirates should not get to make feature requests for future versions of Maxwell -- but one of the great things about this forum is the Dev team is actually here interacting with us and reading the requests. Most others softwares I teach the Dev teams stay as far away from interacting with regular users as they can. I mean it's not an accident that Tom has the highest post count which not even Brian (with his mutant posting abilities) can touch.

BTW we've had 9 new members register since this thread started.

Best,
Jason.

Did you know, also a phpBB version upgrade in the past deleted some thousands of them. It's actually above 12000 something.
