Hi all, I'm new to Maxwell render and this is probably pretty easy but I can't get it to work without help.
I am able to create renders without a background following the general instructions. Now I'd like to send the same file, with a different name like xxxx_alpha to render via network. But the renders keep showing a background, and this is when I opt for "Cooperative Job".
I don't have geometry behind the data I want to render, no plane and no wall.
I'm still on 2.5 and I don't want to upgrade before I've finished this project.
Is there a bug in 2.5?
Any help is really appreciated. :D

Thanks
G

When you send your render via coop from the wizard, make sure to check the alpha box also. Then you can use the rendered alpha to cut out the background via mask in Photoshop. In the main rendered image, the background will be black, but this is correct.

Hi Fernando,

Thank you for your help.
I'm in California, sorry for the late reply.

When I render with checked alpha and have the embedded option selected I end up with a clipped off render without a background (transparent) when I render directly, not via network.
I was able to achieve the same result by accident via network once, so when I previewed the render in the network display it had no background. It was a clipped off render, there was just the object no background. The same when I render directly and not via network.
I tried multiple ways to recreate the event without success.
So far my conclusion is, that there is a bug when I render in coop mode. It seems to ignore the Embedded selection I made.

If we are able to embed alpha when we render directly, meaning I don't need to do photoshop work. Why can I not have the same result via network coop mode render?
I can't take advantage of multiple nodes and cut down render time when I want a clipped off background render.

Any suggestions from the Maxwell Team?
