What kind of good realistic smoke and cloud options are available to Maya users?

It seems like 3D Studio Max users have some interesting stuff, like krakatoa, but what about the Maya side?

I never seem to get good results from Maya fluids. Everything looks so small in scale and simple.

I heard there will be a tighter integration between Maya and Krakatoa 'soon'.

Also, I guess it's only a question of time when Phoenix FD will become available for Maya.
