When you go through the network manager it takes you through the "Add Network Job Wizard" where you set your image path, mxi path, resolution, time, sampling level, etc. There's a section that says "Command Line".

At the end of the manual you'll find a bunch of things you can type in there for various functions at render time. One of those parameters is the number of threads.

I believe if you type -th:3 in that spot that should do what you want to. In the case I mention that would limit you to 3 threads, you can type any number you want there of course. If you type 0 it will use all threads.

I don't use the command line much so if I'm in error anywhere here let me know.
