Is there a current preferred/supported list of Linux distributions for use w/ Maxwell?

My personal experience has been with setting up Maxwell on Linux Cloud servers on Amazon
for command line rendering.

Tried RHEL 6.1 and Amazon Linux (CentOs) but only the openSUSE server ran maxwell without headaches.

You use your pc only for rendering or also for other stuff?

For the moment Debian / Debian based system (ex. -but not the only one- Ubuntu) are working fine for me.
