Thought this might be relevant to some peoples interests, it certainly is to mine.

Flyingarchitecture.com recently started to use Fryrender & Arion to complement their existing VRay visualisation work. They've been posting some test renders.

I've never used Arion before, nor even seen many test images, but in this image I can see what looks like caustic noise on the ceiling, antialiasing issues on the vertical lines in the windows and far wall, and even what looks like dispersion on the wall opposite.

This was a 4 hour render, and I realise that without computer specs and lighting techniques it's very hard to compare this to Maxwell, so I'll try and find out further details.

Also interesting to note that a lot of people said the reason they haven't tried Arion is because it isn't available on OSX. Thank you Maxwell for always being ahead of the game :)

I see what you mean now, no this isn't a comparison challenge, this is just them learning Arion. I'm sure you could roughly replicate it if you so desired Tom...
