I've never tried that -- I've always just cut with air. What are you cutting there, by the way, 7075?

Please do let us know here how the micro-drop cooling works, if you try it; I've looked at the Trico/Accu-lube systems, but have never jumped in. Regarding problems in general with chip welding in the gummier alloys, you might consider (if you haven't already) these: inch/metric. I find that they allow quite a different strategy (i.e. double SFM per feed vs. 2-flute, with very good evacuation, and consequently, the ability to remove more heat via the chip) from more traditional cutters, provided one has a capable spindle, which you do.
