Hello all

is it correct that the material browser has to be closed and reopened to refresh? Also can one not use drag and drop within the material browser to organize ones material database?
I´d like to save favorite folder locations but one cannot do that right?

Seems to be veeeery limited Or am I just doing it wrong?

You could surely put those things on the wish-list. As it stands though, the browser is only meant to provide a quick, visual tool (as opposed to using File > Open) for getting MXM files into your project, not a complete re-implementation of Windows Explorer, OSX Finder, etc.

Are you talking about the material editor? Perhaps your just misinterpreting what it's for. Basically just for material creation and editing. Like JD alluded to, it sounds more like your talking about reorganizing folder structure. Maybe you had in mind something like adobe's bridge? Certainly could be a wishlist, although I'm not certain what it'd add exactly over the standard windows/osx folder structure.

edit: oh ya, the material browser. I forgot that was even in there. I'd have to agree, it could use some love. As is it's not very useful.
