That's a rental for me...

I HATE 99% of computer animated movies. Lots of separately rendered passes, individually adjusted, composited together, heavy on the ambient occlusion... it's laughable.

Really, the type of CG I like best is the kind that you don't notice because it's so well integrated.

One of the best examples of CG done right (but you might not notice):

hehe yes it will be funny.. ahhh memories Tom like you say...

BUT this I find soooo ridiculous, I want to scream !.. ok if they don't show cigarettes in new stuff.. but here it correspond to a certain time in history... should we maybe paint over tobacco scenes in Old Holland Still paintings..? Should we give Humphrey Bogart a lolly pop instead of his cigarettes...? all of this thing is JUST to make money on fines... totally ridiculous, they have advertised to stop smocking for years.. so less people are smocking.. but so they make less money on tobacco Tax sales.. so they have to find the loss of money somewhere... lol

let's spit on all gov's... (sputa... pteww..!) cause they all suck to death...

Tintin, the fictional boy detective created by the Belgian writer Hergé, found himself in trouble with the law after an episode in the long-running cartoon series depicted villains puffing on cigarettes, in contravention of the country's strict anti-tobacco laws.

The country's broadcasting watchdog, RTUK, fined the private TV8 channel £21,000 after ruling that Tintin Against the Chicago Mafia broke legislation banning broadcasters from promoting tobacco, the Guardian reports.

In the episode, Tintin single-handedly brings down the leaders of the 1930s Chicago mob, but the triumph of good against evil did not impress Turkish regulators.

Legislation introduced last year obliges Turkish broadcasters to obscure smoking scenes.

Films – including famous Hollywood blockbusters – are screened with cigarettes concealed behind a mist, although it is often clear that the characters are smoking.

The law exposes Tintin cartoons to further possible fines, especially over the detective's sidekick Captain Haddock, who famously smokes a pipe. One episode features Professor Hector Alembick, who is depicted as a chain-smoker.

But some channels have fought the ban and won. E2, another private channel, was fined over smoking in Mad Men. RTUK cited many instances of scenes that show "lighting a cigarette, smoking, blowing smoke into the air, offering [a cigarette] to another, putting out cigarettes and drinking."

However, the channel went to court to fight the fine, and the verdict came in the channel's favor. The court's decision was based on an expert report that pointed out the series was shot before the smoking ban was enacted.

I found this... hehe that is pretty funny..

Yes, I think hiding or censoring is a bad idea. Because when you hide things, they become more attractive. On the other hand, it shouldn't be like black or white. I mean, neither showing or hiding all would work. There's a kind of balance in transmitting the knowledge but, it depends on the receiver and that's the main problem maybe.

well yes you're right.. but then what about a movie where we see someone drunk having fun (lotsa movies...).... mmmmm just guessing wild I think the alcohol lobby is stronger than the tobacco lobby... lol.. this is indeed where the balance resides.. you know.. bank account balance... hihi :D

but anyway, I'm sure it'll be entertaining.. Maybe Atlas wants to see it too... 8)
