We produce a rather large volume of renders. Is there any software you guys would suddgest to organize them and maybe tag them so we can search later ?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated ....

free ones even better !

I do this with Aperture. I imagine Lightroom can do it too.

I like to use ACDSee Pro 4, it seems to be capable of handling a infinite amount of images. Even better than what i expienced with Lightroom. But Picasa 3 is also very good and ofcourse free.
