Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

Well, you do have 'Export' button there in plug-in, no? Or 'Save .MXS'. Not just 'Render' button.
If everything goes well, if you make an animated camera in Modo and apply 'Maxwell camera' tag to it, then after you hit the 'Export' button you should get a number of .MXS files instead of a single one.
But again, I don't know how Modo plug-in works :(

Actually the more I think of it the more I'm convinced a better way to go is MXS proxy/linking/insertion support in the plugins.

In this scenario it would easy to simply save a camera animation from Modo that referred/linked to your MXS file geometry upon export -- this is a feature Sketchup users have wanted for a long time as it would open the door to things like high-poly trees that could be instanced direct in Sketchup via low poly proxies.

Best,
Jason.

I love the quality of renders from Studio, however being that you cannot make simple 'keyable' edits to cameras and or objects for animations within Studio itself it really limits the work flow for setting up target shots (to later integrate with your DCC app of choice)...
Rendering from an app like Maya(via the plugin)(with maxwell render globals) is quick and the renders are stellar if you are rendering out a single frame. The time is increased per render and the quality is decreased if you are rendering out an animation utilizing batch render. The other option of exporting mxs files to render in Studio takes up a large amount of space per file and is a convoluted process.
Can you guys please put keyable attributes in Studio or create tools that exports the entire Studio scene (cameras, objects, ect..) to the plugin of our choice? That bridge would help eliminate setup time to replicate our targets in our app/plugin of choice.
Cheers

yup :)..or at least like 'send to maya' from Mudbox..

Having a stand alone like MR Studio without a bridge for your main DCC means wasted time exporting .objs and setting up new cameras/render environment attributes..etc
..'hoping NextLimit can share some thoughts on this shtuff:)

I've talked about this in other threads, but I think that having Studio support animation, would solve so many problems for so many people. And I'm not talking about creating animation in studio, but having the ability to support it (ie. importing an FBX that contains animation). Having this feature, would mean that Maxwell would support pretty much every 3D software package on the planet. And to me, as a non-programmer, it would seem like such a relatively simple feature to implement.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
